An ultralight pilot license, also known as a sport pilot license, is a type of license that allows pilots to fly lightweight, single-engine aircraft known as ultralights.
To obtain an ultralight pilot license, you must be at least 17 years old and able to read, speak, write, and understand English. You must also undergo flight training with a certified flight instructor and log a minimum of 20 hours of flight time, which includes at least 15 hours of flight training and 5 hours of solo flight.
In addition, you must pass a medical examination and a written exam covering aeronautical knowledge and FAA regulations.

Once you have completed these requirements, you will be eligible to take a practical flight test with an FAA examiner. With an ultralight pilot license, you can fly single-engine, fixed-wing aircraft weighing less than 1,320 pounds (600 kg) and with a maximum speed of 138 mph (222 km/h). This type of license is often used for recreational flying and can also be a stepping stone to other pilot licenses, such as a private pilot license or commercial pilot license.
It is important to note that regulations regarding ultralight pilot licenses may vary by country, so it is recommended to consult with your local aviation authority for specific requirements in your area.
